​Cardamon ~ ​​Elettaria cardomomum
In the same species as Ginger.

A favorite in Scandinavian baking.
Cardamon is a carminitive, stimulant & aromatic. The herb does stimulate the appetite & the flow of saliva.
The seed is harvested ​
​about now (December) in Guatemala & India. ​​Known as the "Queen of Spice" in India.​
​It assists in relieving ​​gripping pain & treat flatulent dyspepsia. ​​(​stomach upset with frequent eructations of swallowed air​)​
The seed & leaves are used in tea form. Steep for a good 20 minutes or so.
